Is Your Child Ready for Preschool?

At Lakeland Catholic Schools, our faith-based programs welcome all children and nurture their physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual needs. From their very first steps in education, we’re here to support their growth and development.

Preschool Readiness Requirements:

  • Independent Washroom Use: Children must be fully independent in the washroom, including managing clothing and basic hygiene. Pull-ups are not permitted, with the exception of students supported through our inclusive education programs.

  • Ability to Express Needs: Children should be able to express their needs, such as asking for help, sharing ideas with teachers and peers, or communicating when they need support.

  • Social Skills: A willingness to engage with other children and participate in group activities is encouraged to help foster collaboration and a sense of community.

  • Foundational Motor Skills: Familiarity with simple tasks, such as holding a crayon, using scissors, or tidying up after activities, supports a smoother transition into classroom routines.

Program Delivery Times

Registration Information

If you are interested in registering your child in one of our Preschool programs, please contact the school.

You will be required to complete a registration form.

Items you will need to include with your registration form:

  • Birth Certificate

  • Canadian Citizen Certificate (if required)

  • Baptismal Certificate (if Catholic)

  • Any custody or access agreements

  • $100 non-refundable deposit (cheque or cash)

We also ask that you bring to the school any assessments that may have been completed on your child. For information regarding assessments and preschool screening, please contact your child's school.

Full-Time Daycare

Lakeland Catholic is offering Full-Time Daycare at Light of Christ Catholic School in Lac La Biche , École Notre Dame Elementary School and Saint Dominic Elementary School!
