Across the Lakeland Catholic School Division, our teachers are putting a strong focus on literacy, and are taking part in ongoing training in order to identify students' literacy needs. Our goal is to create literacy learners that are proficient in the ability, confidence, and willingness to engage with language to acquire, construct, and communicate meaning in all aspects of daily living.  

These efforts are also to foster a love of books and reading that will last a lifetime, using new strategies and proven best practices.
